Drifter Ferments is looking for a part-time barista with good customer service skills to join our team. We are seeking someone who is self-driven, detail-oriented, trustworthy, and is skilled at crafting drinks. This job is part-time on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Shifts are from 10:30-2:30pm and we are offering $20+/hour, depending on experience. The wage offered is tip inclusive and we will give preference to individuals with customer service and barista experience. Position starts immediately in Warwick, New York.
We sell house made fermented food products alongside retail items from other Hudson Valley purveyors. We also have a food and drink menu that highlights our products, locally roasted coffee, and other thoughtfully sourced ingredients. You’ll be making fresh-whisked matcha, a variety of chai’s, pulling espresso shots, serving our house kombucha, and making pour overs.
Responsibilities:
-Greet customers, answer questions about the menu, and take orders
-Operate Square POS system to process orders
-Make a variety of drinks for customers and otherwise support the chef and keep the drink station stocked as needed
-Clean maintain the espresso machine and coffee grinders as needed
-Do the dishes and keep the sink clean to maintain good work flow
Qualifications:
-Proven working experience as a barista (please provide references)
-Strong customer service skills
-Familiarity with various kitchen equipment and coffee techniques
-Moves with ease and speed in a busy and small kitchen

Drifter Ferments is looking for a part-time line cook and production assistant with good customer service skills to join our team. We are seeking someone who is self-driven, detail-oriented, trustworthy, and can closely & quickly follow recipes to deliver consistency and quality. This job is part-time Wednesday through Sunday, with flexible 6-hour long shifts (either 6am-12pm or 10am-4pm). We are offering $20+/hour, depending on experience. The wage offered is tip inclusive year-round and we will give preference to individuals with customer service and line-cook/food production experience. Position starts immediately in Warwick, New York.
Responsibilities:
-Follow recipes to achieve consistency and quality in our products and food service
-Weigh ingredients in pounds, ounces, and grams
-Lift heavy equipment (60lbs) and boxes of food (45lbs)
-Weekly production of tempeh and fermented vegetables
-Prep ingredients for food menu (condiments, sauces, spice blends, etc.)
-Make espresso drinks, pour-over coffee, and herbal beverages
-Greet customers, answer questions about the menu, take drink and food orders
-Operate Square POS system to process food and drink orders
-Organize inventory, wash dishes, mop floors, take out refuse alongside other opening/closing duties
-Do the dishes and keep the sink clean to maintain good work flow
Qualifications:
-Proven work experience as a line cook or in food production (please provide references)
-Passionate about local foods, experimentation, and exploring new flavors
-Works well with others and responds well and with speed to instruction

We’re seeking a part-time (20-25 hours/week) Marketing & Communications expert to shape Drifter Ferments’ marketing, branding, and communication strategies. Compensation for this position is $23+ / hour DOE. This role focuses on developing our brand persona, increasing our reach, driving user acquisition, and supporting a health-conscious, curious community of food consumers through effective storytelling and innovative marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy
Develop and execute long-term marketing strategies that weave our educational material, products, and food services together.
Maintain a calendar that aligns product launches, course releases, and key marketing initiatives
Craft compelling multimedia content that tells our story and establishes a consistent brand voice across all social platforms
Research and utilize trends to enhance content and increase engagement
Social Media Management
Lead our presence across social channels: Instagram, Tik Tok, and Facebook
Develop high-impact content that increases engagement and drives sales.
Collaborate with our graphic designer to guide brand aesthetic
Develop and maintain partnerships with affiliate and strategic partners for cross-promotional opportunities.
Set up storefronts on social media channels
Email & Website Content
Create and optimize email marketing campaigns via Squarespace that engage subscribers and drive sales
Manage and update website to reflect current updates and new education material as well as make more user friendly
Update website content, such as product descriptions, seasonal changes, and upcoming events
Collaborate with our graphic designer to guide brand aesthetic
Manage and optimize workflows, sales funnels, campaigns, and data organization to ensure effective lead nurturing, segmentation, and performance tracking.
Print and Copywriting
Create retail, market, and consumer-facing materials that reinforce our mission and tell our story.
Assist with marketing and planning for on-site events, pop-ups, and collaborative promotional activities.
Craft compelling copy for packaging and other print materials
Analytics Tracking
Use SEO analysis to understand our audience's search behavior, identify relevant keywords, optimize content, and improve website performance to attract traffic and drive conversions
Provide biweekly reports on community engagement, content performance, and growth metrics
Qualifications:
-3-5 years of marketing and communications experience, with recent hands-on experience developing and executing strategic marketing campaigns.
-Demonstrated expertise in digital marketing (email, social, paid ads), communications (public relations, brand management), and marketing analytics.
-Proficiency with automation tools and analytics platforms
-Experience using graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro)
-Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational abilities.
-Strong copywriting and editing skills, with a keen eye for brand consistency.
-Capable of juggling multiple campaigns and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
-Passion for sustainability and local food systems are highly desirable.

The role for Events & Logistics is responsible for managing our participation in various markets throughout the year. This includes researching good market fits, coordinating with market organizers, overseeing product logistics, promoting the company's offerings, ensuring compliance with market regulations, and
providing excellent customer service. This person will be a key market staff person and will be responsible for onboarding support for events when they see fit. They will also cultivate relationships with other vendors and customers to ensure a successful and profitable presence at each market.
Key Responsibilities:Support Market Coordination

Ensure timely arrival, setup, and breakdown of the market booth.
